There are three basic techniques to surgical repair ptosis.

  1. External Levator Muscle: Skin incision approach through the front surface of the eyelid.
  2. Internal Approach: Approach via undersurface of the eyelid.
  3. Frontalis Sling: Eyebrow and eyelid incisions are used; primary for congenital ptosis.
