This 9 year old girl was born with minimally functioning eyelid muscles. A silicone rod was secured to the eyelid tissue and passed into the forehead allowing her to raise her eyelids by raising her brows. This brave girl was able to have her surgery awake which allowed easier adjustment of the sling. Performed by Dr. Boerner.
