Mark J. Boerner, MD
Oculofacial Plastic & Reconstructive Surgeon
As the founder of Idaho Eyelid and Facial Plastic Surgery, Dr. Boerner is an oculofacial plastic surgeon who has been practicing in Idaho since 1996. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Texas in Austin and finished at the top of his medical school class at University of Texas Health Science Center. Dr. Boerner completed a residency at the University of Texas in Dallas and then his fellowship at the University of California at San Francisco.
Dr. Boerner is an expert resource for patients in search of cosmetic surgery and reconstructive oculoplastics. His long-standing experience makes him unique in his ability to conduct and oversee comprehensive facial rejuvenation to relax, redrape, resurface, and refill the aging face. His practice focuses on both elective and functional eyelid and facial surgery, and includes face/neck lifts, brow/forehead lifts, fat transfers and CO2 laser resurfacing. He also surgically manages tumors, trauma, and disorders of the face and eyelid. He has performed over 20,000 surgical procedures and has an aesthetic skill to help cosmetic patients maximize their return on investment.
Chad H. Jackson, MD
Oculofacial Plastic & Reconstructive Surgeon
Dr. Jackson is a trained oculofacial plastic surgeon who joined Idaho Eyelid and Facial Plastic Surgery in 2020. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from Brigham Young University and with honors from the University of Kentucky College of Medicine. He completed an ophthalmology residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center where he served as chief resident and was named resident of the year. He received an American Society of Oculoplastic and Reconstructive Surgery fellowship at the Medical College of Wisconsin and completed his training in 2019.
As a member of the American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic Reconstructive Surgeons, Dr. Jackson specializes in the full range of oculofacial plastics including conditions involving the eyelids, tear ducts, complex orbital tumors and facial trauma that often requires other specialties such as ENT, neurosurgery, craniofacial, and oral surgery. He is also using his skills to perform elective procedures related to facial rejuvenation, including eyelid, face, neck and forehead lifts and skin resurfacing.

Lea
Practice Administrator
Lea is our practice administrator and brings over 25 years of experience working in the healthcare industry ranging from management to marketing and revenue cycle. She has worked in ophthalmology, gynecology, and plastic surgery. She believes in the power of positivity and strives to have a happy, successful staff. Born and raised in Idaho, she enjoys outdoor activities along with spending time with her family.
Jennifer Bleymaier
Patient Services Manager
Billing Administrator
Jennifer is from Fort Bragg, California and joined the practice in 2004. She is our team lead for patient services. Her many years working with Dr. Boerner brings efficiency to the medical billing process, which makes for a smooth patient experience. She anchors our practice. Outside of work you will find her enjoying the outdoors with her husband and spending time with her many nieces and nephews.
Cristy Hoffmann RN, BSN
Nurse Injector
Cristy worked as RN at St. Luke’s for 20 years and now acts as our in-house nurse injector. She combines years of medical expertise and artistic skill to deliver quality treatments to our patients. Cristy works under supervision of our physicians who are on site for all injections. She continuously trains with Mark Boerner MD, who introduced aesthetic use of neuromodulators and fillers to the Treasure Valley almost 20 years ago, along with other experts in the field. She works side by side with us to provide care to patients interested in maintaining top-tier aesthetic results before and after surgery. Patients appreciate Cristy for her safe and effective approach to injecting, and that fact that she continuously improves her education and skills.
Lisa Shepard
Medical Assistant
Lisa Shepard joins our practice with over 20 years of ophthalmic and optometric medical assistance. She assists our surgeons in working up patients and scribing. She helps us maintain patient flow and has a great rapport with patients.
Jamie Hooks
Medical Assistant
Jamie was initially an optometry tech and has years of experience working with glaucoma, cataract and retina patients. She served in the military for 9 years in Iraq and Afghanistan. She is our new medical assistant, helping the surgeons with working up patients, scribing and post op care.
Sabrina Wood
Surgery Scheduler
Sabrina has many years of experience as a medical assistant, appointment scheduler, surgery scheduler, and insurance coordinator. She is a detailed-oriented team player who helps our surgeons schedule patients for surgery at multiple locations.
Liz Bussey
Insurance Preauthorization/Surgery Scheduler
Liz Bussey has almost 20 years of experience in the eye care field. She was raised in Wisconsin and earned a BA at the University of Minnesota. Liz spearheads insurance pre-authorizations for our patients, along with surgery scheduling. Liz loves to travel, cook, watch college football and spend time with her husband and two dogs.
Jessica Reif
Medical Receptionist
Jessica is a dedicated professional with 5 years of experience as a scheduler in the ophthalmic field. She has honed her skills in managing schedules and provides exceptional patient services. Outside of work, Jessica enjoys hiking, gardening and painting, which fuels her creativity and appreciation for nature.
Khristina Curry
Medical Receptionist
Khristina joins us as a medical receptionist and provides a warm and welcoming experience to our patients. She has years of medical experience scheduling and ensuring patient details are captured. Outside of work, Khristina enjoys spending time with family and enjoying the great outdoors.
Tammy Skidmore
CRNA, APRN
Tammy is a board certified nurse anesthesiologist with almost 20 years of experience. She provides mobile anesthesia services to our surgical patients which improves convenience and efficiency. With portable state-of-the-art monitoring and anesthesia equipment, she sedates patients and focuses on patient safety and comfort. She is also owner/ injector at SkinEnvy Medical Aesthetics.
Joni Hensley
Certified Surgical Technician
Joni Hensley is a Certified Surgical First Assistant and helps both Dr. Boerner and Dr. Jackson in surgery. She owned her own surgical assisting company in New Mexico where she prepped, draped, sutured, drained, and more. Joni loves to suture and sew and is happiest when she’s using her professional skills to provide top-quality patient care.
