Mark J. Boerner, MD
Oculofacial Plastic & Reconstructive Surgeon
Dr. Boerner specializes in eyelid and facial plastic surgery and has been in practice in Idaho for over 25 years. He is an expert resource for patients in search of cosmetic surgery and reconstructive oculoplastics. Dr. Boerner is unique in his ability to conduct and oversee comprehensive facial rejuvenation, including procedures to relax, redrape, resurface and refill the aging face… he provides comprehensive care with natural results.
Dr. Boerner is a board-certified oculofacial plastic surgeon, completing his training at the University of Texas and his fellowship at the University of California at San Francisco. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery. His practice focuses on eyelid and facial surgery (cosmetic and reconstructive) and includes face/neck lifts, jawline contouring, fat transfers and CO2 laser treatments. He also surgically manages tumors, trauma, and disorders of the face and eyelid. He has performed over 13,000 surgical procedures over the course of his practice and has a unique aesthetic sense to help cosmetic patients maximize their return on investment.
Dr. Boerner is married with four children. In his spare time, he coaches soccer for his twin boys, mountain bikes and skis with his wife/kids, and tries to find ways to give back to his community. Dr. Boerner completed a medical mission in Honduras and frequently treats refugees in the Boise community.
Chad H. Jackson, MD
Oculofacial Plastic & Reconstructive Surgeon
Dr. Jackson graduated Magna Cum Laude from Brigham Young University and with honors from the University of Kentucky College of Medicine. He completed an internship in internal medicine and ophthalmology residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center, where he received awards for best intern educator and best research in oculoplastic surgery. He also served as chief resident and was named resident of the year. He received an American Society of Oculoplastic and Reconstructive Surgery fellowship at the Medical College of Wisconsin. In Wisconsin, he was trained to address orbital tumors and orbital and facial trauma, and participated in multi-disciplinary cases with ENT, oral maxillofacial surgery, plastic surgery, and neurosurgery. Dr. Jackson treats the full range of conditions involving the eyelids, tear ducts, and orbit. He is enthusiastically using his skills to perform both functional and cosmetic blepharoplasties.
In his free time, Dr. Jackson enjoys spending time boating, waterskiing, snow skiing, hiking, backpacking, and playing tennis with his wife and four daughters. Dr. Jackson enjoys Boise and serving the community.
Heather is from Nampa, Idaho and has over 15 years of experience as a surgical assistant. She assists both Dr. Boerner and Dr. Jackson with blepharoplasties, facelifts, forehead lifts, and more. Prior to joining our team, Heather worked at both St Luke’s and St Alphonsus as a CST for many different services such as ear-nose-throat, neurosurgery, general surgery, plastic surgery, and orthopedics. As such, Heather brings with her experience and expertise from multiple disciplines that enable her to provide exceptional assistance to Drs. Boerner and Jackson. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family and two dogs.
Patient Services Manager
Jennifer is from Fort Bragg, California and joined the practice in 2004. She is our team lead for patient services. Her many years working with Dr. Boerner brings efficiency to the medical billing process, which makes for a smooth patient experience. She anchors our practice. Outside of work you will find her enjoying the outdoors with her husband and spending time with her many nieces and nephews.
Aesthetic Nurse Injector
Taylor is a registered nurse, and performs injections of wrinkle relaxers and hyaluronic acid fillers under the direction of Dr. Boerner. She is an experienced injector and has completed advanced aesthetic courses related to neurotoxins and fillers in Chicago. Taylor also works at St. Lukes and focuses on surgical orthopedics patient care here in Boise. Taylor is an Idaho native and in her free time loves to be outside hiking, boating, or snowboarding.
Marissa has called Idaho home since she was 2 years old, after moving here from Germany with her Air Force family. She has been a medical assistant since 2008, and is excited to return to work after spending 20 months as a stay at home mom. Outside of work, she loves spending time with her husband and 3 daughters.
Brooks is the newest member of our team and has been a certified medical assistant for three years. Prior to that she specialized in the beauty and fashion industry. When not spending time with her three children, you can find Brooks working with fellow veterans through scuba diving. She is a proud native Idahoan.
Keegan is from Atlanta, Georgia and moved to Boise in 2014 to be closer to her family. She joined our practice in 2018 and has worked as an ophthalmic tech prior to scheduling surgeries for our patients. Outside of work she enjoys playing the guitar and singing country music.
Tiffany is originally from Northern California and moved to Boise over 15 years ago. She brings over 20 years of experience in medical billing/coding and in healthcare management. She enjoys the intimate patient experience that the small independent medical practices bring and is ecstatic to be on our team. She looks forward to meeting our patients. In her spare time, she loves exploring the outdoors, camping, and fishing. Tiffany is a huge football fan and loves watching all sports. She also enjoys traveling to new places with her husband and 2 children.
Shelly is originally from Northern California. In 2006 she moved to Idaho to be close to her family. Shelly has lived in Boise for over 15 years. She has worked in a front office position since 2010 and loves getting to know patients. In her spare time, Shelly loves camping, fishing, knitting, crocheting, and spending time with her family and new grandbabies.
