Mark J. Boerner, MD
Oculofacial Plastic & Reconstructive Surgeon
Dr. Boerner specializes in eyelid and facial plastic surgery and has been in practice in Idaho for over 25 years. He is an expert resource for patients in search of cosmetic surgery and reconstructive oculoplastics. Dr. Boerner is unique in his ability to conduct and oversee comprehensive facial rejuvenation, including procedures to relax, redrape, resurface and refill the aging face… he provides comprehensive care with natural results.
Dr. Boerner is a board-certified oculofacial plastic surgeon, completing his training at the University of Texas and his fellowship at the University of California at San Francisco. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery. His practice focuses on eyelid and facial surgery (cosmetic and reconstructive) and includes face/neck lifts, jawline contouring, fat transfers and CO2 laser treatments. He also surgically manages tumors, trauma, and disorders of the face and eyelid. He has performed over 15,000 surgical procedures over the course of his practice and has a unique aesthetic sense to help cosmetic patients maximize their return on investment.
Dr. Boerner is married with four children. In his spare time, he coaches soccer for his twin boys, mountain bikes and skis with his wife/kids, and tries to find ways to give back to his community. Dr. Boerner completed a medical mission in Honduras and frequently treats refugees in the Boise community.
Chad H. Jackson, MD
Oculofacial Plastic & Reconstructive Surgeon
Dr. Jackson graduated Magna Cum Laude from Brigham Young University and with honors from the University of Kentucky College of Medicine. He completed an internship in internal medicine and ophthalmology residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center, where he received awards for best intern educator and best research in oculoplastic surgery. He also served as chief resident and was named resident of the year. He received an American Society of Oculoplastic and Reconstructive Surgery fellowship at the Medical College of Wisconsin. In Wisconsin, he was trained to address orbital tumors and orbital and facial trauma, and participated in multi-disciplinary cases with ENT, oral maxillofacial surgery, plastic surgery, and neurosurgery. Dr. Jackson treats the full range of conditions involving the eyelids, tear ducts, and orbit. He is enthusiastically using his skills to perform both functional and cosmetic blepharoplasties.
In his free time, Dr. Jackson enjoys spending time boating, waterskiing, snow skiing, hiking, backpacking, and playing tennis with his wife and four daughters. Dr. Jackson enjoys Boise and serving the community.

We are thrilled to have Ashley Gulley back in the office with us. Ashley brings many years of experience working with us in so many roles… as office manager, surgical tech, medical assistant, and surgery scheduler. She helps train staff and helps us transition. Ashley wears many hats as a mother of three and manager of a roofing company.
Patient Services Manager
Jennifer is from Fort Bragg, California and joined the practice in 2004. She is our team lead for patient services. Her many years working with Dr. Boerner brings efficiency to the medical billing process, which makes for a smooth patient experience. She anchors our practice. Outside of work you will find her enjoying the outdoors with her husband and spending time with her many nieces and nephews.
Lisa Shepard joins our practice with over 20 years of ophthalmic and optometric medical assistance. She assists our surgeons in working up patients and scribing. She helps us maintain patient flow and has a great rapport with patients.
Yolanda Moran comes to us with a over a decade of experience in ophthalmology as a technician. She has also run a business and worked for the school district. As a medical assistant, Yolanda details medical histories and helps determine the best course of action for our patients. Outside of work she spends time with her husband and two children.
Courtney brings ten years of healthcare experience in the medical specialities of plastic surgery and orthopedics. Her attention to detail and outgoing personality makes her a great fit for our practice. Courtney’s position helps ensure our patients have a smooth experience with surgery… from the pre operative meeting, to what to expect on the day of surgery, to post operative care. Outside of work, Courtney has a husband and two young boys who keep her busy.
Taylor Bruce, RN
Aesthetic Nurse Injector
Taylor is a registered nurse, and performs injections of wrinkle relaxers and hyaluronic acid fillers under the direction of Dr. Boerner. She is an experienced injector and has completed advanced aesthetic courses related to neurotoxins and fillers in Chicago. Taylor also works at St. Lukes and focuses on surgical orthopedics patient care here in Boise. Taylor is an Idaho native and in her free time loves to be outside hiking, boating, or snowboarding.
Amanda has lived all across the country as a military wife and most recently moved to the Treasure Valley from Texas. She has worked in the medical field as a patient care coordinator for five years. She enjoys traveling, meeting new people, and going to concerts. She has a love for country music and all things chocolate.
Sabrina brings many years of experience to Idaho Eyelid and Facial Plastic Surgery. She was a medical assistant in the field of colorectal/digestive health, and then moved over to scheduling both appointments/surgeries along with insurance coordination. Sabrina is a detailed oriented team player who has a variety of skills and attributes that helps our office function more efficiently.
Tammy is a board certified nurse anesthesiologist with almost 20 years of experience. She provides mobile anesthesia services to our surgical patients which improves convenience and efficiency. With portable state-of-the-art monitoring and anesthesia equipment, she sedates patients and focuses on patient safety and comfort. She is also owner/ injector at SkinEnvy Medical Aesthetics.
Certified Surgical Technician
Joni Hensley is a Certified Surgical First Assistant and helps both Dr Boerner and Dr Jackson in surgery. She owned her own surgical assisting company in New Mexico where she prepped, draped, sutured, drained, and more. Joni loves to suture and sew and is happiest when she’s using her professional skills to provide top-quality patient care.
Radiofrequency Microneedling Technician
Megan Carnahan is a native Idahoan and has been involved with medical aesthetics for over 20 yrs. She has a degree in functional nutrition and is specifically trained in Vivace Radio Frequency Microneedling, voted best in class in 2021. She joins our team to help educate our patients to best protect the skin/face investment.
