Epidermal Cyst
Jump To
Epidermal/epidermoid cysts are usually small, harmless bumps just beneath the skin and are the most typical cutaneous cysts. Idaho Eyelid and Facial Plastic Surgery addresses the ones that are often found around the face, top of the head, and neck. These cysts are also known as follicular infundibular cysts, skin cysts, and skin introduction cysts. While these epidermoid cysts are typically asymptomatic and do not require treatment, they can be inflamed, infected, tender, and painful, which necessitates intervention.
