This patient presented with congenital weakness of the eyelid lifting muscle on the left. She has lived with limited use of her left eye for her entire life with the misconception that nothing could be done. By suspending the eyelid to the forehead with a subcutaneous silicone rod, Dr. Boerner enabled her lift her lid by raising her brows. A little swelling is still present at one month but the improvement in lid height is obvious.
